Let Jesus Carry Your Bags

Thursday of the Fifteenth Week in Ordinary Time. Father Dave thinks back to picking up his friend from the airport recently. He offered to help carrying his friend's bags, but his friend insisted on carry his own. Father Dave thinks about it as a metaphor. Sometimes we can be a bit stubborn when it comes to opening up to God about our baggage, but can Jesus help us with the weight. Preached at St. Paul the Apostle Church, New York City on 07-20-17.
