After a tumultuous election cycle that divided the country and left people either happy or upset with the results, Father Dave offers some encouraging words in this homily. He reminds us that Jesus said we should have faith in Him -- in both good times and bad times. Father Dave also encourages us that this is the time when we should build each other up rather than tear one another down. Preached at St. Paul the Apostle Church, New York City on 11-15-16 (Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time).

Thirty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time. In business and in war, the term "acceptable loss ratio" is often used. We might even have an acceptable loss ratio in our own lives when it comes to money or personal belongings. But God does not have an acceptable loss ratio -- every single one of us is precious to Him. Preached at St. Paul the Apostle Church, New York City on 10-30-16. |
