Wednesday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time. Father Dave says that we should be like the landowner in today's Gospel who goes out to the marketplace and asks people to help him with his land. We have a responsibility to keep going out and trying to bring people to the Church. Preached at St. Paul the Apostle Church, New York City on 08-23-17. |

Monday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time. Father Dave considers the solar eclipse as a metaphor for our faith lives. Do you ever block out God in your life? Do you prevent good things from shining into your life because of a fear of the unknown? Father Dave encourages us to avoid blocking out God in our lives so we can all experience his warmth and love. Preached at St. Paul the Apostle Church, New York City on 08-21-17. |
