Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Father Dave points out that the Christian life is a continual dying of self. We are called to die to sin and embrace the life that God desires for us. He explains that we have to choose dying to ourselves in order to serve others, especially during this time of racial tension in our country. Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Father Dave discusses today's Gospel in which Jesus tells us not to be afraid. Father Dave points out that the prophet Jeremiah laments to the Lord, but continues to trust him at the same time. We should expect to not always be fully accepted when preaching the gospel, but trust in God's plan for us. Preached at St. Mary's on the Lake, Lake George, NY on 6-21-20 |
